Architecture and networks
Our experience spans global enterprise and government networks, multi-vendor data-center fabrics, low-level systems development and configuration automation.
People at Alpha Origin
The people
behind the work.
We founded Alpha Origin because critical infrastructure is built, secured and operated in pieces, while disruption can spread across the whole system.
The rapid buildout of AI data centers, energy and telecom infrastructure is increasing the stakes. Shared technology and providers connect operations across sites and organizations. More capable adversaries can exploit those connections. Operators remain accountable for keeping critical services running.
Washington, DC headquarters · New York office · Hybrid team working globally
How the practice comes together.
We brought together senior engineers and operators from Special Operations, intelligence, national laboratories and global infrastructure to work across those boundaries. Purpose-built tooling accelerates the work: establish how systems behave, engineer containment and recovery, and test whether critical operations can continue.
Adversarial operations
The practice combines DoD red-team leadership, penetration testing and incident response with research into embedded hardware, firmware, protocols and cryptographic implementations.
Operational systems
Industrial protocols, PLC and SCADA testing, detection engineering and on-site delivery connect the security work to the systems that sustain operations.
Applied research
Secure communications, wireless and physical-layer security research, network simulation and custom tooling support investigation, engineering and repeatable validation.
From investigation
to engineering.
Assessment establishes what needs to change. Engineering follows under agreed scope, from design and implementation to tuning and retesting. Your team receives evidence, tools and operating guidance to maintain and revalidate what we build.
We’re always interested in exceptional engineers and operators, even when there isn’t an open role that fits. Introduce yourself
